PodPlayer TV Terms of Use

Last updated October 17, 2026

These terms cover your use of the PodPlayer TV app for Roku and its server (together, "the service"). By using PodPlayer TV you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

The service

PodPlayer TV is a free app for finding and playing podcasts on Roku. It uses the Podcast Index to find shows, and syncs your subscriptions across your Rokus with a five-word passphrase. There are no fees and no ads.

Podcast content

PodPlayer TV doesn't host, own, or control any podcasts. Episodes, artwork, chapters, transcripts and links come straight from each podcast's publisher, and they belong to their owners. We aren't responsible for that content, which may include mature material, and listing a show doesn't mean we endorse it. Publishers can manage how their shows appear through the Podcast Index.

Links and QR codes to show and episode websites lead to third parties. Anything you do there is between you and them.

Your passphrase and account

Your subscription list is encrypted with your passphrase, so we can't see it, reset it, or recover it. Keep your passphrase private and save it somewhere safe. Anyone who has it can see and change your list. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

Acceptable use

Please don't misuse the service. That means don't try to break into it, overload it, scrape it or its Podcast Index access, guess other people's passphrases, or use it to break the law. We may limit or block access that harms the service or other users.

No warranty

PodPlayer TV is provided free, as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that any podcast will keep working. We may change, pause, or stop the service at any time. If the service shuts down, your encrypted list may be deleted with it.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the developer of PodPlayer TV isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the service or of podcast content you access through it.

Other terms

Your use of Roku devices and the Roku Channel Store is also covered by Roku's own terms. PodPlayer TV isn't made by or affiliated with Roku, Inc. or the Podcast Index. How we handle data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date above, and continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms. Questions? Email mcclain.sean.appdev@gmail.com.
